Dear ‘Sprouts’ Friends & Families,
We are so excited to begin this journey together in our new school. We will be primarily focused on providing a peaceful transition into the Preschool, and learning the daily and weekly rhythms. The children will be lead with many transitional and daily routine songs as well as seasonal verses which will be sung each day.
As December brings us shorter days, we will bring in the light through fairy tales and stories. The story this month is: ‘The Autumn Blanket’ Where, “Mother Earth weaves her winter blanket to keep them warm when the days grow cold."
Through regularly repeated stories, delivered in a puppet play, children grow familiar and learn story lines and naturally build a broader vocabulary. This helps them identify with characters which in-turn they learn to express their own thoughts and feelings in their daily lives.
Each morning we will start our day with our song:
