Waldorf Early Childhood Education Teacher
The Apple Blossom Preschool teacher will be an experienced early childhood educator who can bring their own joy and conviction through the lens of Rudolf Steiner’s view of the human being. They will implement and facilitate an environment that is conducive for a child to explore, discover, and actively learn through play. Following the established rhythm in collaboration with the teaching team, they will foster a wonderful learning atmosphere for children to grow and blossom.
The ideal candidate has:
-Waldorf Early Childhood Teachers Certificate
-Five years+ Professional Early Childhood Education Teaching experience
-Ability to lead by example through implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum
-Excellence in developing partnerships with families and staff
-Experience and natural skill in communication, leadership and organization and supervision
-Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with experience and understanding in the development of children's milestones
-Comply with Rhode Island State regulations in Early Childhood Education
-Familiarity with WECAN, AWSNA, LifeWays and the NAEYC Organizations
-At ease with providing a predictable, rhythmic routine for the children and is a facilitator/enthusiastic to indoor/outdoor play
-Desires to teach in school with a strong vision, energetic colleagues, and clear leadership
Must be creative and enthusiastic, has a good work ethic, enjoys working with a team of colleagues, conscious of safety regulations and is able to solve problems with discernment while maintaining confidentiality of student, familial and organizational information. Key attributes of a successful candidate warm-natured, takes initiative, dependable, and has a strong inclination for collaboration are key attributes to the success of the candidate.

Apple Blossom Preschool is seeking a qualified assistant preschool teacher to work with children ages 3 - 5 years in beautiful Barrington, RI.
Applicants must have an Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field with at least 4 years’ experience in the classroom as well as working in professional development. Candidates should be enthusiastic and have a familiarity with or interest in LifeWays/Waldorf programs. Background checks and medical immunizations will be required for all new hires.
Schedules will be flexible within the hours of 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM; however, full-time teachers can expect to work 40 hours a week. Applications for part-time positions will also be accepted. Apple Blossom Preschool is seeking qualified, part-time substitute teachers to work with children ages 18 months - 5 years in beautiful Barrington, RI.
Applicants must have experience working with children in the age group of 18 months to 5 years, and be able to play a supportive role to lead teachers while adapting to the routines and rhythms of the classroom. Familiarity with the Lifeways approach to learning is highly regarded. Those with backgrounds in early childhood education and/or administration are welcome to apply. This is a position to cover other teachers on sick and personal days, and is a great opportunity to learn more about our school, philosophy, and work.
Background checks and medical immunization will be required for all new hires.
Schedules will be flexible within the hours of 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM; supply teachers will work various hours. We offer a competitive wage.
