PRESCHOOL TEACHER
We are looking for an experienced early childhood educator to lead our 12-student classroom, ages 3 and 4 years old. We are a Waldorf-inspired center and any experience and/or understanding of the philosophy is important to us. You will need to implement and facilitate an environment that is conducive for a child to explore, discover, and actively learn through play. You will be responsible for creating lesson plans incorporating RIELDS and reflecting nature/seasons, work in a team environment, provide families with daily photos and a summary of the day through our parent engagement app.
Must be creative and enthusiastic, have a good work ethic, enjoys working with a team of colleagues, conscious of safety regulations and is able to solve problems with discernment while maintaining confidentiality of student, familial and organizational information. Key attributes of a successful candidate: warm-natured, takes initiative, dependable.
After a probation period full-time teachers will receive 9-10 paid holidays off
1 week pay for our winter break between Christmas and New Year's
5 days paid personal time off and 5 days not paid personal time off

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Apple Blossom Preschool is seeking qualified, part-time substitute teachers to work with children ages 18 months - 5 years in beautiful Barrington, RI.
Applicants must have experience working with children in the age group of 18 months to 5 years, and be able to play a supportive role to lead teachers while adapting to the routines and rhythms of the classroom. Those with backgrounds in early childhood education and/or administration are welcome to apply. This is a position to cover other teachers on sick and personal days, and is a great opportunity to learn more about our school, philosophy, and work.
Background checks and medical immunization will be required for all new hires.
Schedules will be flexible within the hours of 7:30 AM - 4:00PM; supply teachers will work various hours. We offer a competitive wage.
